Clinical and Interpretive
Mixing studies are performed to determine whether a prolonged PT or PTT is due to factor deficiency or an inhibitor. Patient plasma is mixed with normal plasma and PT and PTT are measured. Pathologist interpretation is provided on all mixing studies.
