Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: tissue or fluid

Container/Tube:

• Tissue: fresh in saline or Hank’s solution
• Fluid: original sterile collection container

Collection Instructions: Do not submit formalin fixed tissue.

Additional Information: Date, time of collection, source, and diagnosis are required. Specimen must arrive in laboratory on day of collection by 3pm.

Forms: Non GYN Cytology Requisition (CN) or Surgical Pathology Requisition (S)
